About Amazon Account Health

Provides a comprehensive idea of how your Amazon account performs. And there are few performance parameters that are tied to your account health. And every seller on Amazon should be aware of these parameters. This can help them manage their business more effectively, as well as escape the risks of account suspensions. Maintaining good account health will determine if you are going to be sustainable and profitable on Amazon.

Order Defect Rate

Amazon policy is that all sellers maintain ODR rate of less than 1%.
ODR consists of 3 different metrics:

1. Negative feedback

A buyer can write negative feedback, in case of any impediments in seller fulfilled logistics. For every negative feedback, you receive the ODR percentage increases.

2. A-Z Guarantee claim

The claims that can be raised by the buyers against sellers, if the product quality is not as committed (or) if the product delivery exceeds EDD (End of the Delivery Date)

3. Chargeback claim

A buyer can raise a chargeback claim if any credit card charges are debited incorrectly.

Contact Response Time

Addressing all the queries of customers on time can keep this parameter on the place. And, it is highly recommended to get back to the customer in the first 24 hours. Any sort of delay can lead to drop in this parameter.
Contact Response Time can have an indirect impact on ODR.
Curious how?
Slower contact response can lead to negative feedback, which can impact your ODR percentage.

 Shipping Performance

Shipping performance involves 2 different parameters: Late dispatch rate and Pre-fulfillment cancellation.
Amazon policy is that the Late dispatch rate be less than 4% and the Pre-fulfillment cancellation rate be less than 2.5%
And, if you are not able to ship the products on or before ESD (End of Shipment Date) + 24 hours, the orders will get auto canceled.

Winding up

Yes, you got it right.
How well you manage your Amazon business is a key to good account health?
The answer seems simple. But it requires a lot of efforts and commitments from the seller end to achieve it.
